Day 1 · – Arrival | Colombo Airport – Negombo
• Meet and greet upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport. • Transfer to your hotel in Negombo. • Lunch at the hotel. • Afternoon visit to the traditional fishing village and the famous Negombo Fish Market. • Explore Negombo, often referred to as “Little Rome” due to its many historic churches. • Dinner and overnight stay in Negombo.
Day 2 · – Negombo – Dambulla – Sigiriya
After breakfast, depart for Dambulla. Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site), dating back to the 1st Century BC. This remarkable complex of five caves contains magnificent Buddha statues and beautiful ancient wall paintings. Continue to Sigiriya. Dinner and overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 3 · – Sigiriya – Kandy
After breakfast, visit the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Highlights include: • Water Gardens • Mirror Wall • Ancient Frescoes • Lion Rock Fortress Lunch at a local restaurant. Proceed to Kandy, the last royal capital of the Sinhala Kingdom. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 4 · – Kandy City Tour
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy. Visit: • Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic • Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya • Gem Museum • Handicraft Centre The Royal Botanical Gardens feature over 4,000 species of orchids, medicinal plants, spices, palms, and tropical trees. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 5 · – Kandy – Mahiyanganaya
After breakfast, travel to Mahiyanganaya via the scenic 18 Hairpin Bends. Mahiyanganaya is believed to be the location of Lord Buddha’s first visit to Sri Lanka, where the Mahiyanganaya Raja Maha Viharaya was later built to enshrine His sacred hair relics. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Mahiyanganaya.
Day 6 · – Veddah Village Experience
After breakfast, visit Dambana, the traditional home of Sri Lanka’s indigenous Veddah community. Experience: • Traditional Veddah lifestyle • Village walk • Cultural interaction • Traditional Veddah dance performance In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the nearby lake. Dinner and overnight stay in Mahiyanganaya.
Day 7 · – Mahiyanganaya – Batticaloa – Ampara
After breakfast, depart for Ampara. En route visit Batticaloa, famous for its beautiful lagoon and known as the “Land of the Singing Fish.” Explore the coastal town before continuing to Ampara. Dinner and overnight stay in Ampara.
Day 8 · – Gal Oya National Park Safari
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari at Gal Oya National Park. Gal Oya National Park, established in 1954, is well known for: • Wild Elephants • Deer • Crocodiles • Numerous bird species • Rich natural landscapes Dinner and overnight stay in Ampara.
Day 9 · – Ampara – Ella
After breakfast, depart for Ella. En route visit: • Maligawila Buddha Statue • Dambegoda Bodhisattva Statue • Dematamal Viharaya The Maligawila Buddha Statue, standing at 11.5 metres, is Sri Lanka’s tallest free- standing ancient Buddha statue and one of the largest in South Asia. Continue to Ella, one of Sri Lanka’s most scenic hill country destinations surrounded by tea plantations and cloud forests. Dinner and overnight stay in Ella.
Day 10 · – Ella – Hatton (Scenic Train Journey)
After breakfast, enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful train journeys from Ella to Hatton. Experience: • Spectacular mountain scenery • Tea plantations • Waterfalls • Mist-covered hills Upon arrival, visit a Tea Plantation and Tea Factory to learn about the production of world-famous Ceylon Tea. Dinner and overnight stay in Hatton.
Day 11 · – Hatton – Negombo
After breakfast, depart for Negombo. Enjoy free time for relaxation or last-minute shopping. Farewell Dinner. Overnight stay in Negombo.
Day 12 · – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight. Your memorable Sri Lankan adventure comes to an end.
